Cocamidopropyl Betaine

Cocamidopropyl Betaine (Betaine) is made from the fatty acids from coconuts with a nitrogen containing substance then purified to give us the final product Betaine.

Why do we use Betaine in Grandma's Approved bath bombs. It is a surfactant so it helps the SLAS in the icing make even more lather and bubbles in your bath. Since it is a surfactant it also helps prevent any staining by making everything easier to rinse down the drain when done.
