Polyethylene

Polyethylene is a synthetic ingredient in some of our cosmetics. It has aumber of reasons for peple to include in their cosmetics. It is a film-former, keeps ingredients together, and helps thicken the cosmetic. One of the main reasons for its use is the film-forming property. This makes sure that the skin's moisture is locked into the skin.

One concern when discussing polyethylene is the term microbeads or microplastics. When used in cosmetics polyethylene is introduced as a wax rather than beads or sheets. This allows for more complete blending in the product.
